the long lost consists of husband & wife alfred (a.k.a. electronic daedelus) and laura darlington. in contrast to the avant electronics and hip hop aesthetics of alfreds music as daedelus, the long lost is a union of two songwriters & producers with a penchant for sad sounds and delicate, electro acoustic melodies. psychedelic lullabies for lovers and the lovelorn. as well as sa ra, laura has also sung for flying lotus. a fascinating and utterly individual project, the long lost take the subject of love away from the cliches and hackneyed wailing of the mainstream and reconnect it to those strange and uncontrollable emotions we re all so in thrall...

winter here and cold sounds also, this time warm up engine s drivers are grovskopa and agony forces, joined in remix duties by label s boss oscar mulero. grovskopa ignites the flame on b side with jauhar, and industrialized piece of dark techno with an analogue bassline as a starring ,resting on top of an abstract and metallic beat, salted with hypnotic vocal samples and atmospheres. a peak time weapon for the hard ones. closing b side oramics by agony forces investigate in the same field, nearly industrial beats, crunchy and dark, sinewave sequences, fat bassdrums and again an hypnotic and lisergic feel. as the the track goes on, pads and synth atmos do the job adding a mellow edge to the dark side. alone on a side, oscar mulero s rework of jauhar is pure floor action, substracting atmospheres and focusing on rythms and beats. giving a straight ahead approach to the original. electronic body music for the 21st century.

the new white release comes with a fundamental change: it s an artist ep. the faces series was a very radical and honest way to launch an artist. but for the artist eps we wanted to give them space, so they can share deeper insights of their artistic development with us. says oskar offermann, who runs the label and does all the a&r decisions. the kick-off ep comes from german-peruvian nu , who stood out already with his last white release voca (white004). he was desperately in search of a musical identity for his peruvian roots. so he decided to join a group of shamans during travels through his home country. and they took him on a spiritual journey, in order to find his lost roots on the other side. a trip to hell which lasted a few days.

first part of his debut longplayer ! support from raresh, robert dietz, arnaud le texier, d julz, julien chaptal, catz n dogz, tim xavier, mikael stavostrand, kreon, agnes... anthony collins is one of the safest pair of hands in house right now yet every release he puts out is both high quality and individual, as this new release on freak n chic proves. taken from collins debut long player, the impeccable (and much lauded) >doubts & shouts<, prism is collins at his hip swinging best. deep, yet powerful and driving, >prism< takes in elements of detroit techno, ny house and modern tech house and intertwines them.
after the >jamaica< reworks by dubfire and the mole, minilogue havent splashed out for the second remix ep of last years smash hit album >animals< either. the three versions of the homonymous lp title represent, at the same time, the whole bandwidth of contemporary electronic dance music. starting with multi-national vakant artist tolga fidan and his highly percussive prime time techno approach, whose oriental imprinting is not cagey about the turkish roots of the paris-based producer and – with the spoken voice reminding discreetly of minilogues 2008 club hit >doiicie<. a completely different direction is chosen by brendan moeller aka beat pharmacy. the south african-born protégé of ny house legend françois kevorkian on his deep space media label is interpreting >animals< within a mythical hypnosis of slagged deep house and deep dub techno, somewhere in between nu groove and basic channel, being one of the most visionary tracks in the beginning of 2009.
OUR MUSIC IS A SECRET ORDER (ANTON ZAP & LUKE HESS RMXS)
12 Inch 18.03.09
upcoming talent from detroit and moscow meet on this first remix ep, based on the jason fine album, our music is a secret order. first out is the grandson of moscow - anton zap, with a remix of the track half. in the hands of anton, the original is present but with a major zap stamp on it. bent and quirky sounds, warm harmonies and baseline are edited into great house music. it is not often a remix out stands the original, but this time it might be the case. on the b-side luke hess gives his blessing to the dub track midwest_n. as the name implies we are going for a deep techno ride to detroit. with scientific perfectionism, hess approaches the dance floor, mixing warm sound-scapes and dub-cords with driving melodies, cymbals and claps. the result is once again elegantly produced mind transforming dance music. anton zap made his entrance to the house music arena through jus-ed and his underground quality label
pryda friends has been dormant for quite some time whilst its owner - eric prydz has been concentrating on his own work. this relaunch hits hard with a carefully selcted track that eric has been caning for quite some time - sebastian leger - the people. the original track has been huge on the club scene for quite some time with its marilyn manson vocal refrain and guitar licks being used to enormous effect. as if that wasnt enough eric prydz has done his own remix on the flipside which surprise, surprise - is an absolute stormer with its vocoding of the main vocal loop and building driving feel. this is yet another winner from the prydz stable.

>were back with a couple quick and sneaky mixes of >rave is king< for early 2009, we just didnt think you had enough of this anthem last year. first up on the take is atls blog wonderkid le castle vania who keeps things pretty close to the original but just a little heavier and a lot more twisted vocoder effects on the vocals. on the flip we have berlins nhan & taan with their electro boogie mix. on first listen the n&t mix sounds like a banger of a downtempo head-nodder but if come up into some serious electro madness primes for the most discerning djs with a flair for the old school. again we remind you, rave is still king !!! coco machete team<
reissue of album from 1975/a satisfying dramatics collection that includes their revised, campy version of me and mrs. jones, which had remained a staple of their live shows. astrology was riding high in the mid 70s, and (i m going by) the stars in your eyes provided fodder for astrological discussions as the guys poo poohed the differences in personality traits associated with the signs. a good balance of fast and slow tunes helps make this album a winner. good things dont come easy and never let you go are two frantic dancers that chug along faster than a speeding locomotive, while trying to get over losing you succeeds in treating losing your lover in a positive, uplifting way. the guys must have been loaded with material to keep this one off a 45. likewise for the aching, painful i cried all the way home, one of tony hesters best compositions, and easily the best ballad on the album.
compiled and mixed by 2 rapidly rising talents and 1 veteran of the world wide house scene. disc 1 is young french talent dj yass, disc 2 by the king of baltimore house, dj spen and disc 3 by hot new spanish dj & producer david penn. here we have some of the best tracks spread over 3 seperate vinyl releases. kicking things off we have yass awesome remix of the now classic >the way u love me< with brand new mike dunn track >feel the muzik< on the b side we have 2 brand new cuts from julian jabre & mr v simply essential
